I don’t know the time others learn to ride,but my experience of learning to ride is never forgettable.That was the first time that made me realize how to learn something,to put it in other words,the experience itself tells me that no pains,no gains.
The reason pushed me to learn riding is that I had to get prepared for the high school which took 20 minutes’ ride.At that time,there was no transportation system in my hometown,and everyone rode to high school.Therefore,my parents encouraged me to learn to ride.
To be honest,I didn’t know how to do it properly at the beginning.I was not excited but nervous.Once I started,I didn’t how to stop the bike.It was really hard to keep balance.My parent just sat at the back seat of the bike and let me ride it to move on.The weight of an adult lagged me down,so my parent had to use their hands to keep the balance which still didn’t work.Finally,I decided to ride a short distance and stop the bike by my feet and moved again and stop again.It was an effort-taking and painstaking process.My front and back was hurt badly due to the poor handling.However,in this way,I could feel I improved a lot in controlling the balance,and become more and more confident.
The pain in my front and back really hurt,but I didn’t want to give up,because it was not decent for me to stand in front of my parents.I asked one of my friends to help me who was much older than me and rode to school for years.His method really worked.He just sat at the back seat of the bike and let me ride on.He wasn’t as heavy as my parent and I was able to ride on with him at my back seat.His weight made me easier to keep the balance and once,he jumped off the bike when I was riding to let me ride on alone.I succeeded,I rode alone,I was so happy that I kept riding fast for quite a long time.
Later that day,when my parents came back from work,I showed them my improvement and skills.They were really proud of me and surprised.When I showed my injuries in my front and back,more pride increased from their heart.I surely was grateful to my friend and got to know the truth in life---no pains,no gains.
