1 、重点:掌握if 引导的条件状语从句
2 、难点:if引导的条件状语从句,主句用一般将来时,从句用一般现在时

教学步骤 建议与说明
Step One: Leading-in
1. T: If I have money, I’ll buy a car. What will you do if you have money?
Get the Ss make sentences as much as possible.
2. T: If it rains tomorrow what will you do?
Get the Ss to think about as more answers as they can. The teacher should enable the Ss to use the if-clause correctly.
3. T: now our school is going to have a party for you , do you want to take part in it ? if you go to the party ,you will have a great time .
From the conversation ,lead the students to talk about the title of unit 5
(Write “Unit 5 If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time! on the blackboard.)
Step Two: New words and drills
1. Present the new words
T: I have a piece of good news. Our school will have a party.do you want to wear jeans to the party? What’s the meaning of “jeans”?
S1: 牛仔裤
T: Yes, that’s right. Read after me, jeans-jeans.
T: For example: a pair of jeans, wear jeans. But if you wear jeans to the party, the teacher won’t let you in. What’s the meaning of “let… in”?
Write let…in 允许……进入write on the board
T: At the party, I will organize the party games. I’m sure you will have a great time. What’s the meaning of “organize”?
S1: “组织”.
write “organize”组织on the screen)
T: Yes, you’re right. Read after me ,organize- organize.
Ss: Organize-organize.
T: For example, organize the party (games).
2. Present the new drills “If you do …, you will do …
T: It will be sunny tomorrow.
T: We will have a trip tomorrow.
T: So we can say: We will have a trip if it is sunny tomorrow.
(Put the two sentences together.)
T: Next I often get up at 6:30 on weekends. When do you get up?
S1: I get up at 7:00.
T: What will happen if you get up at 8:00 on weekdays?
S1: If I get up at 8:00, I will be late.
T: What will happen if you are late.
S1: If I am late, the teacher will be angry with me.
T: What will happen if the teacher is angry with you?
S1: If the teacher is angry with me, I will be sad.
T: Who can know the rule?
(Show the four sentences on the board and then ask the students to find the rules.)
S1: if 条件状语从句, 从句用一般现在时,主句用一般将来时.
T: In if clause we can use the Simple Present Tense, and we can use the
Future Tense in main clause.
3. Practice the drills in pairs.
1) Practice the grammar by making conversations in pairs.
(The students practice in pairs and then the teacher asks some pairs to
ask and answer.)
Step Three: Listening
1. Listening practice
T: Karen and Ann also want to go to the party with me. If you go to the party,what will happen? Please look at the picture and match the statements with responses below.
Ss: ….
T: Are they right? Please listen and check your answers.
2. Pair work
T: Please look at the picture and make conversations in pairs.
(The students ask and answer in pairs according to the picture.)
3. Listening Practice
T: Andrea is a monitor. She will have a class party. But he doesn’t decide when to have the party and what to do at the party. Now Andrea and Mark are talking about it. Do you know what they are talking about? Please listen and number the phrases in the order you hear them.

Step Four : Make a survey

Step Five: Task 1
T: Maybe some students will play computer games after class. I like surfing the Internet. If you surf the Internet, what will happen? Please work in groups of four or five.

Step Six: Task 2
T: As you know, everyone wants to be beautiful and healthy. For example, I wear new clothes to be handsome and run every morning to be healthy. What will you do if you want to be beautiful and healthy? Please make a play and then act it out.
